The 13th International Congress of
Oriental Medicine will be held in Daegu
of Korea, on Oct 20~23, 2005. It is
my great honor to invite you to the
place enriched with Korean culture.
The congress will be the monumental
event to mark the 30th anniversary of
establishment of the International Society
of Oriental Medicine. Many prominent
scholars and oriental medicine practitioners,
and those interested in oriental medicine
from various parts of the world are
invited to share excellent research
findings. It is believed ISOM can envision
the future of oriental medicine through
the contribution of distinguished and
insightful researches at this opportunity.
During the past three decades, increasing
numbers of people all over the world
have recognized the efficacy of oriental
medicine and the science of oriental
medicine has developed both in quality
and quantity with the help of scientific
development. And the congress was one
of the leading academic forums promoting
scientific research and exchanging knowledge
of oriental medicine.
Nowadays oriental medicine has been
recognized as an indispensable means
of medical treatment for those who suffering
from many incurable diseases, which
are widespread..And the groundwork or
philosophy of oriental medicine has
gradually influenced on the lives of
many people around the world.
I cordially invite you to the depth
of science of oriental medicine and
flavor of culture in Daegu, a city of
Southeast of the Korean Peninsula. You
will have special experiences of korean
culture as well as relics designated
as cultural heritage by UNESCO.
